Lose weight while changing diapers

This is a short post for Mothers with babies up to 2 years old.
How to lose weight while changing a diaper.
First get all the towels and diaper ready.
Second make sure you have a toy within reach of the baby.
Third put baby down on mat on floor.
Fourth this is the important part! Attempt to change diaper while baby moves every which way. When you take off the pants she or he is fine once you get to the diaper she or he will roll around and turn over or even scoot or crawl away from you. Here is your challange,CHASE BABY AROUND ROOM. Get baby back on floor on her or his back try to clean baby’s bottom as she moves. While she tries to move grab hold of leg. OH NO leg left baby moving around room again. CHASE BABY AGAIN! Get her back into position. Finally hold down baby and attemp to get diaper on her or him.
Fifth and last, you get diaper on her or him and then as soon as the diaper is on they move again. Now chase baby to put on clothes. Secure clothes, get rid of diaper and cloths. Now if your baby is mobile your done. If not, pick up baby and go on with life.

Silly Walks

Today I will talk about babies learning to walk. I call this silly walks. A baby first step in learning to walk is standing for long periods of time. My daughter likes to stand in front of the coffee table and turn pages in board books. She is getting pretty good at this. She does it longer and longer every day. When she is done she knows how to fall back and not hurt herself.
Step two: is taking that first step. Her first step was from the couch to grandma. Then she stopped walking altogether. You see that first step is scary.
Step three: More steps. Now that she can stand for long periods of time she decided to take a step from the couch to the coffee table. Later on in the bedroom after I changed her diaper she took three steps and sat down. Last night she walked from one couch to the other, from mom to dad. This involved about three steps. That is where we are now.
Her steps are called silly walks because when one leg goes forward it goes far out and then lands on the ground. Then comes the next step until she is done.
I hope she continues to try out this walking business so that she can walk on her own in a couple months. I end with silly walks one leg out then the other. A day in the life of a baby trying out steps.

WATER EOROBICS AKA AQUAFIT

Water eorobics, or also called aquafit is earobics in a pool. What do you do in water eorobics?
You walk, run forward, backward, jumping jacks, mimick cross country skiing. To do these exercises in the water you can use different flotation devices.

In this exercise You can use different muscles at the same time. In the water it is easier to exercise because you are weightless. On land it is harder to exercise because you are going against gravity.

Benefits of Water Eorobics
The water supports the body and reduces the risk of muscle or joint injury. The use of gravity by flotation places less tear on the joints when stretching and allows greater range of motion, therefore this exercise can be done by anyone who can keep their head above water. Since this exercise is done in the water it prevents overheating of the body while working out. This exercise is especially beneficial for people suffering from knee, back, or joint problems. These exercises promote coordination between the brain and muscles. In this exercise you are always resisting wich gives you a more balanced workout than a workout not in water. Water pressure on the body helps circulate your blood requiring less work by your heart.
Drawback of water exercise:
Water exercise requires access to a pool. If you are a member of an exercise club this class usually is an added cost to your membership. Not as many calories are burned in water exercise as compared to other physical activities. The speed of exercise is slower then other exercises.

To me this exercise sounds like fun.
I know someone who does it every sunday. She loves it.The classes last about 45 minutes.

Babies unknowingly Doing Yoga

Have you ever looked at a baby and said that looks like the yoga I do?
As babies learn how to move around they use a series of moves that look like yoga. I noticed this with my daughter when she was about 10 months old. The first move I noticed was the bridge, then the folding over. After this I thought this looks like yoga.

Here we have examples of how to do each pose. The first one is the bridge. This is done by laying flat on your back and lifting from the lower part of your body until you have lifted the back all the way up while keeping your shoulders and arms under you and your legs on the ground. That is how we do the bridge pose. When a baby does it they naturally just lift up without trying.

Another pose is folding over for an exercise. When a baby does this they fold over. When we do it some of us can fold over, others do not go all the way down without excess pain. To do this you have to be in a cross legged position, a baby does it with legs straight out in front of them.

Have you ever seen a pose called childsplay? In this position you are folded over yourself. For a baby, they are just on thier knees with the stomach folded over the body. Here is how we do it. We start in the hands and knees position. From that position we move back to sitting on our heels with our arms outstreched in front of us and our hands on the ground.

These are my own observations of my baby. Does anyone else have different thoughts on babyyoga poses? Does anyone have a baby that did different moves to crawl? I would love to hear your thoughts on baby yoga comparisons. I am not an expert on yoga I just do it for my well being. Please refer to yoga teachers to start any of these poses mentioned in this blog.

Goodby for now until next we meet.

Yoga Mom

Today I will give a little insight on being a mom and doing yoga exercise.
I am a mom of a 10 month old daughter. When I first became a mom I thought this isn’t hard, I can exercise when I want to. I have come to find that being a mom and doing yoga is hard. So if you are a mom and do yoga cherish all the time you get for this wonderful relaxing exercise.
Why yoga is so hard to do as a mom.
I will give you a little insight into momhood. This section is called the day in the life of a yoga mom.
The first thing I do is get up and feed my daughter breastmilk which will take up to an hour sometimes. Then you put her down to play and try and eat breakfast. You warm up your cereal and then comes the waaaaa. Oh no she needs attention. What is it now a diaper change, some more milk, solid food, a hug, or some attention. Okay you figure out what the demand is,take care of the problem. Now I can go back to my cereal. So now you decide you have to do her laundry before you run out of bibs for her meals. By the time that is done you should go get dressed. Here comes the cry again. Oh she must be hungry now. So you feed her solid food and put her down. Okay now I can go take a shower. This is the most peaceful part of the day ALONE TIME. You step out of the shower and hear waaaa oh now time to nurse again for another hour. Okay now that this is over it is time to clean all the breakfast dishes. Start to clean dishes and hear waaaa oh she needs her diaper changed. You change her diaper then put her down to play again. No I don’t want to sit here. Hmmm what could it be oh I know put her on the floor in the kitchen to play with plastic containers while I do the dishes. She loves that as long as I play with her at the same time. Now the dishes are done. Okay maybe now I can do some yoga. You set her down and guess what hungry again. So you feed her soild food. Okay now you put her down to play and she does. Oh good I can do some yoga now. Hurry up get dressed and ready for it. Now you start the exercise. Halfway through it you hear waaaa. Oh no she needs to be nursed again. So now you nurse her. Look at the time after you nursed her oh now it is time for making dinner. In the end the yoga never gets finished.

I love yoga because it takes away all the pain of lifting and bending as a mom. The back exercise is the best.
For new moms there is mom and baby yoga. This is great for you and your baby. The classes are good for you and your baby until you run out of time to go to it. Or the baby starts to yell and move a lot in the class. Usually this is when it is hard to control the baby so yoga class is not worth it for you anymore.
Every city should have a baby and mama yoga class. Benefits of baby mama yoga are: The baby gets to do the class with you,
You get to lose weight and feel good.
Other attributes are meeting other mothers and seeing all the funny things that go on in the class.
Being a mom takes a lot of time so if you don’t get a chance to do yoga, nurse your baby. You will be exercising by feeding and lose weight. In ending, Sometimes you do get time to do the yoga so never give up. Just a shout out to all yoga teachers who are also moms, kudos to you. What a hard and rewarding job you have.
