WATER EOROBICS AKA AQUAFIT

Water eorobics, or also called aquafit is earobics in a pool. What do you do in water eorobics?
You walk, run forward, backward, jumping jacks, mimick cross country skiing. To do these exercises in the water you can use different flotation devices.

In this exercise You can use different muscles at the same time. In the water it is easier to exercise because you are weightless. On land it is harder to exercise because you are going against gravity.

Benefits of Water Eorobics
The water supports the body and reduces the risk of muscle or joint injury. The use of gravity by flotation places less tear on the joints when stretching and allows greater range of motion, therefore this exercise can be done by anyone who can keep their head above water. Since this exercise is done in the water it prevents overheating of the body while working out. This exercise is especially beneficial for people suffering from knee, back, or joint problems. These exercises promote coordination between the brain and muscles. In this exercise you are always resisting wich gives you a more balanced workout than a workout not in water. Water pressure on the body helps circulate your blood requiring less work by your heart.
Drawback of water exercise:
Water exercise requires access to a pool. If you are a member of an exercise club this class usually is an added cost to your membership. Not as many calories are burned in water exercise as compared to other physical activities. The speed of exercise is slower then other exercises.

To me this exercise sounds like fun.
I know someone who does it every sunday. She loves it.The classes last about 45 minutes.
